The Tech Support Generation

I guess I could say that I’m a member of The Tech Support Generation. And yes, after a long day of work, I guess I feel like a lot of the Slashdot winers, resenting the fact that I’m tech support for my circle of family and friends. However, after introspection, I’m glad I can offer my help to my pool of friends. I mean, really, what else can I do for them? I can’t cook, I can’t fix their car, I’m certainly not in a position to lend them money. For all that my friends give me, I’m glad I have something to return :)

In case you needed more proof that G4 sucks …

Obviously, Comcast and G4’s business plan must be:

  1. Spend millions of dollars to buy cable station with small but rabid following
  2. Waste brand equity by firing entire staff and cancelling all of its best shows
  3. ???
  4. Profit!!!
