When people ask me what my favorite movie is, they’re usually surprised that it’s “To Kill A Mockingbird,” instead of something having “Star Wars” or “Star Trek” in the title (don’t worry, those films start poping up in the top 10 or so). There are sooooo many reasons why Mockingbird is such an exceptional peace of art, but one of them is certainly Brock Peter’s portrail of Tom Robinson. If there’s a clearer definition of human dignity in film, I haven’t seen it yet.
And yes, he was in some great “Star Trek,” as well …
