Space Invaders was a simple little game involving very few pixels on screen at any given time. Which makes it perfect, apparently, to turn every pixel into a human being and create a stop-motion video of the retro shooter in action.

Update: At least this film does one special thing - it's the fastest movie to ever hit the worst 100 of all time …
So this is what we've come to? Hollywood is so out of ideas, now they're ripping off old (though very funny) Bugs Bunny Cartoons? Hey, Wayan Brothers, "Come here, Fin-ster Baby …"
Stuff stolen from the 52-year-old cartoon includes: 1) A scene in which the new guardians discover a tattoo on their new baby friend; 2) A clueless grown-up giving the man-baby the "upsy-daisy" treatment … into the ceiling; 3) The most blatant theft: A gag involving the flicking of lights and the smackdown that occurs when someone says "click" instead of flipping the lights off.

Normally I'd complain having to buy a "Special Edition" of what I already own but - a cape, and the instruction booklet? I am sooooo there
Word is coming out that October 3 will see the release of a special 13 disc DVD set for The Greatest American Hero, the 80s superhero spoof that starred William Katt, Connie Sellecca, and Robert Culp. Besides all 43 episodes, the set will include a cape (!), instructions on how to use the suit (with lights), and an iron on.

For my friend Em who just got a new Black MacBook this weekend, as neat as this might seem, please don't try this - I doubt AppleCare will cover this
Everyone knows that Apple's Intel powered portable lineup gets hot, but this is insane! An enterprising fellow figured out that it would be possible to actually fry an egg on the bottom of his black MacBook. Granted, it probably took something like 3 times as long than if he had used a stove, but thats obviously not the point. For bonus points, keep your coffee warm by placing it on top of your MacBook power adapter.

Spacey really gets into his characters
Bosworth said Spacey would hijack the golf carts used to transport people and materials from set to set and chain a small Superman doll to the back of said cart. He'd then proceed to drive around the set dragging the doll behind him, while screaming absurd death threats at his character's mortal enemy.

Could we have one as a Grand Prix, Please?
With yesterday's launch of the all-new Holden Commodore, a series of dominos begins to fall that will ultimately shape GM's product roster for years to come. Holden has stated outright that the Commodore's platform has been developed for markets beyond Australia's borders. One of those is most assuredly the United States where the rear-wheel drive chassis will underpin many GM models here, including a host of rear-wheel drive sedans and possibly the Chevrolet Camaro.

Thanks to John Porcaro, I got a chance to go to this party last night. Street Fighter was great in all of it's 8-bit glory, Frogger and Galaga were very nostalgic (didn't get a chance to play Pac Man), but for me, the best game was Cloning Clyde - hilarious concept and execution, with the best use of animated sheep since A Close Shave.
Microsoft's Greg Canessa, who conceived and spearheaded Xbox Live Arcade for the original Xbox and who now heads up the Xbox Live Arcade business, introduced a new standardized release program for new downloadable titles from this point forward. Appropriately called Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays, the program stipulates that all Live Arcade games will be released only on Wednesdays, at 12:01pm Pacific time. Kicking off the new release format was Konami and Digital Eclipse's Frogger, which is now downloadable for a price of 400 Microsoft Points ($5). Microsoft also announced the release schedule for the remainder of the summer, which is as follows.-
- July 19: NinjaBee's Cloning Clyde-
- July 26: Namco's Galaga-
- August 2: Capcom and Sensory Sweep's Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting-
- August 9: Namco's Pac-Man

These shots are unbearably cool!
“All those extra cameras NASA has added to the Space Shuttle to watch for debris impacts have yielded what may be the coolest Shuttle launch footage ever. The forward-facing view from the right-hand SRB shows, at about the 2:58 mark, booster separation and Discovery zooming away. Other views are available at the main mission site.”
