Monaro VXR500

Vauxhall Monaro VXR500As for the Monaro, well, this is going to make fans of the recently-departed Pontiac GTO very angry. You see, the Vauxhall Monaro VXR500 (above) is a limited edition version of the rebadged Holden, and in this guise, the 6.0L LS2 gets added jolt via a supercharger, upgrading it to 493 horsepower (500 PS) and 500 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 now takes less than 5 seconds and the badass Vauxhall tops out at 180.

I told all you Pontiac fans you'd be mad about this…

Wil Wheaton Retro-reviews TNG

Wil Wheaton (who, incidentally, is much cooler than Wesley Crusher) reviewing TNG episodes for Star Trek’s 40th anniversary? Oh, this is geek nirvana …

(On a personal note, I’d like to thank the writers for making such a great first impression with my character. In addition to this spectacular scene, I also got to say lines like, “So you mean I’m drunk? I feel strange, but also good!” In fact, John D.F. Black — who I didn’t realize at the time hated me — also wrote Justice, where he gave me the awesome line, “We’re from Starfleet! We don’t lie!” Thanks for that one, too, Mr. Black.)

What the original Star Trek taught me

The crew of the original Star TrekThose space-age fabrics are awfully flimsy: Every time James T. Kirk would get into a tussle his shirt would rip. Other crew members would get into fights, and their tunics would stay together without even a loose thread.

Exclusive! "New” Star Trek Is Set on Stunning

Enterprise courtesy CBS Studios Inc.If this was Berman or Braga doing this, I'd be very worried. But Mike Okuda really gets Star Trek. I'm looking forward to this …

Stolen from Trek Today

"We're taking great pains to respect the integrity and style of the original," says Michael Okuda, who spent 18 years as a scenic-art supervisor on Star Trek films and spin-offs. "Our goal is to always ask ourselves: What would Roddenberry have done with today's technology?" Okuda's teammates on the two-year project are his wife, Denise Okuda, with whom he's authored several Trek reference books, and 14-year Trek production vet David Rossi.

The only way to "beat” World of Warcraft

As a former addict, I can identify with this :)

"The only way to beat WoW is to cancel your account and start the arduous process of putting your life back together. Call the wife that left you and see if things can be worked out. Take your kids to a park and marvel at the sunshine - it's been a while since you've felt how warm it is. Apologize to all of those ex-coworkers that covered for you when you overslept from a late night raid or leveling. Look in the mirror for the first time in months and decide you might need to shower and shave."
