I am freakin’ insane, 2007

11:30:

I’m getting too old for this. Seriously. My back is killing me, my butt’s sore, but despite this, I can barely keep awake. What good is waiting till midnight if I don’t have the energy to play?

I’m getting too old for this …

10:25:

Some ‘tard just walked by on his cell phone, up and down the line, yelling to his "buddy" key plot points. 1. Everyone knows you’re being a jerk, so we don’t beleive you. 2. The guy next to me in line joked early that "blood will be spilled" tonight. He’s probably right …

Did I just call someone a ‘tard? I think the demographic I’m hanging out with tonight is rubbing off on me

9:30 PM:

OK, I just got out of the line to get in the line (I am not kidding) I’d say there’s at least a couple of hundred people here already. Just crazy. So far, so good, everyone’s in good spirits. Game Stop just handed out free water and chips, which is sincerely appreciated (see, honey, I told you I’d get fed :) )

I swear the kid at the front of the line is Chris Crocker (NSFW)

8:45 PM:

Arrived about a half hour ago. Just found open wifi (thank you Burger King!). Security won’t let anyone lineup until after 9, but people are beginning to queue. Better get my place :)

10:02 AM:

Getting ready for the line:

The blogging machine. Notice all the crap on my desktop, as I struggled last night to enable internet access via my cell phone. We’ll see how well it works tonight.

Dreamcast: Sega’s Last Scream

DreamcastRetrograding Gaming: Dreamcast: Sega’s Last Scream

Imagine if you released the first videogame console with a built-in modem. Imagine if you released a game console that put no restriction on online play, not forcing the purchase of any add-ons, services, or subscriptions. Imagine if you created a gaming machine that took memory cards that doubled as GameBoy-like mini-PDAs. Imagine if you had the strongest quality-wise launch line-up for a gaming console debatably of all-time, including staggering support from Capcom, two of the greatest fighters ever made, the first football series to give Madden a run for its money in years, and the true debut of a Sonic the Hedgehog full 3-D platformer.

Now imagine if you screwed all that up.
