The Sci Fi Digital Press Tour report, part three - TV Squad
Entering the flight deck was pretty strange. You think you know what to expect, yet something looks a bit … off. There’s two Viper Mark II ships and a Viper Mark VII and a Raptor; there’s where they work on the ships; there are the tools, the parts. But things just seem a bit small. These sets serve multiple purposes, and via the magic of green screens they can look much larger than they appear in person. This doesn’t mean that you don’t recognize this place immediately, though. In fact, during the panel you could get somewhat distracted when realizing that "holy **** I’m in the Galactica flight deck!"
Publick Nuisance - Together Again for the First Time…
So I got up at 4am on Friday to fly to Los Angeles (having missed my Thursday evening flight like a jackass), and I’ve just returned home. The mission? To record Patrick Warburton for the first five episodes of season 3 of The Venture Bros. But of course, now that James Urbaniak has moved there (and flying in the face of rumors about his departure from the show), I was there to record him for episodes 30 and 31 as well. Which meant…Dr. Venture and Brock Samson were, for the first time in the history of the series, in the same room at the same time. Obviously, the photo opportunity was not to be missed, and the location (NYAV Post’s Western adjunct) provided a lovely backdrop

Watch this promo for Futurama’s return - TV Squad
Big huzzahs to reader John Geezer, who sent us a link to this fantastic promo for the upcoming new season of Futurama. The promo was created by Speed Bump Studios in an effort to get a job doing these for Comedy Central. It features a CGI version of Bender walking into a random house, drinking the owners’ wine, and stealing their candlesticks. "Hello, peasants!" he yells as he walks in. Really great stuff.
